PDFind

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 September 2026

This policy explains how PDFind processes personal data when you use the website, Excel add-in, licensing service, Enterprise enquiry form and support. PDFind is operated by Yevhenii Shevchuk in Poland. Contact eugene@pdfind.io.

1. Controller

Yevhenii Shevchuk, operating PDFind in Poland, is the controller for PDFind account, entitlement, usage-limit, Enterprise enquiry and support data. Microsoft separately processes data when providing Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Microsoft Graph and Microsoft Marketplace.

2. Data we process

PDFind does not require your password and does not store Microsoft access tokens as account records. Authenticated user IDs are not written into telemetry rows.

3. PDF documents and extracted content

PDF rendering and English/Polish OCR run inside the Office task pane. PDF pages, recognized text, file names, search queries and Excel cell values are not sent to PDFind's licensing or telemetry infrastructure or an external OCR provider. Attached PDFs move directly between the add-in and the signed-in user's restricted OneDrive App Folder. The Files.ReadWrite.AppFolder permission does not allow PDFind to browse the rest of OneDrive.

The workbook stores the file name, page, source coordinates, recognized value, highlight colour and Undo metadata needed to return to the source.

4. Why we process data

We process data to provide and secure the service, enforce plan limits, measure aggregate reliability, reply to Enterprise and support requests, prepare quotes or pro forma invoices, administer Marketplace subscriptions, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. PDFind does not sell personal data and does not use PDFs or extracted text to train AI models.

5. Providers

We use Microsoft Azure for entitlement services and aggregate telemetry, Microsoft 365 and OneDrive for identity and user-controlled document storage, Microsoft Marketplace for subscriptions, Cloudflare-powered hosting for this website and its enquiry storage, and GoDaddy for domain services. Providers process data under their own applicable terms.

6. Location and retention

The entitlement and telemetry services are hosted in Microsoft's North Europe Azure region. Entitlement and subscription records are retained while necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal or anti-fraud duties. Free-plan fingerprints are retained to enforce lifetime limits. Aggregate telemetry contains no document content or stored user ID. Enterprise enquiries and support correspondence are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless longer retention is required for accounting or legal purposes. OneDrive documents remain under the user's Microsoft account and control.

7. Security

PDFind uses HTTPS, Microsoft identity tokens, origin restrictions, server-side entitlement checks and least-privilege App Folder access. Users remain responsible for protecting their Microsoft account, devices and workbooks.

8. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, including GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. You may complain to your local authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). Email requests to eugene@pdfind.io. Identity verification may be required.

9. Changes

We may update this policy for product, legal or operational changes and will update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
