PDFind

Support

Effective date: 22 September 2026

PDFind is a Microsoft Excel add-in that extracts text, values and tables from digital or scanned PDF documents and keeps source references in the workbook.

Contact support

Email eugene@pdfind.io. Support is available in English and Polish. We normally acknowledge requests within two business days, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Poland.

Include your operating system, Excel version, PDFind version, the PDFIND-… support code shown by the add-in, reproduction steps and whether the document is digital or scanned. Do not email confidential PDFs, passwords, tokens or payment details. Create a redacted sample and wait for instructions if a document is required.

See the supported PDF files and known limits before reporting recognition quality.

Accounts, purchases and source access

Paid Microsoft Marketplace purchase and Create seat assignment require an eligible work or school account. A personal Microsoft account can sign in and use the free View plan, including its evaluation of three unique PDFs and one saved PDF, but always stays on View and cannot use this purchase path. Contact support for guidance before attempting a purchase.

A Create licence and access to source documents are separate. Your organization may need to assign your purchased licence. Microsoft must also authorize access to each source file. When handing off a workbook, make sure its reviewer can access the attached source documents; sharing the workbook alone does not grant that access.

Step-by-step guides

Start with installation and availability, then learn to extract a table, work with scans or review linked sources.

Common checks

  1. Confirm Excel is signed in to the Microsoft 365 account that owns the subscription.
  2. Close and reopen the PDFind task pane after an update.
  3. Confirm OneDrive is available and your organization permits Files.ReadWrite.AppFolder.
  4. Allow the first OCR operation on a scanned page to finish.
  5. Use PDFind's Undo button; Excel's native Undo cannot remove the PDF source record.
