Supported

• Digital PDFs with embedded text;
• scanned PDFs with English or Polish printed text;
• multi-page invoices, statements, forms and consistently aligned tables;
• text, dates, amounts, percentages and common currencies;
• multiple PDFs isolated to one Excel workbook;
• search across every PDF attached to the current workbook.

Review may be required

• Low-resolution, rotated, faint or noisy scans;
• irregular tables, merged cells or layouts without stable columns;
• very long scanned documents and unusual fonts;
• PDFs with a damaged or incomplete text layer.

Selecting a table inserts recognized values directly into Excel. Check the results against their highlighted sources, especially for scans. Use PDFind Undo to remove the insertion and its source records together.

Not currently supported

• Password-protected PDFs that require a password;
• searching PDFs that have not been attached to the current workbook;
• guaranteed handwriting or engineering-drawing recognition;
• automatic reconstruction of merged cells, nested tables or multi-page headers;
• anonymous access to shared PDFs.
